Authentic Japanese comfort food at a extended dive bar, run by real Japanese people listening to Japanese music while speaking Japanese. Love it. I typically just get one of the curry-rice variants, an appetizer, and some fairly priced whiskey/Scotch - and call it a meal.
Favorite go-to both by myself and with friends. Close to my office, so I probably eat there more than I should.
Pro tip: Don't let your bag touch the floor here. -

I love stopping by when I'm in the area for drinks and some snacks! The street parking is a little difficult during the evening hours, but I think it's totally worth it. When you climb up the stairs to get to the restaurant, you are given a choice to sit on two sides: the bar-side or the more family friendly side. Both serve the same food and drinks. I've sat on both sides of the restaurant, but I prefer the bar-side of the establishment because of the atmosphere. When you come on game days the entire place is quite lively and it's so much fun.
The servers are all really nice and definitely go out of their way to help you find what you need. They always give very good drink recommendations. The drinks are always so delicious and heavy-handed, which is my favorite. When it comes to food I recommend the sautéed fresh squid, it comes with a pickle and Japanese mayo. A delicious combination for a drinking snack/appetizer. -

Located on the second floor at the corner of King and 6th in the international district is this long time restaurant/bar. If you're looking for a relax place to eat or grab a late night alcoholic beverage then this is the spot in the international district, but if you need ada access then this is not a good spot because they are on the second floor with no elevator.
I have been coming here for years. Their food and service have been consistent. I always order the shrimp and mushroom doria. Normally I would order to go, but it was date night with the fiancé yesterday so I dined in and tried a few other items on the menu. Their items are reasonably price. All the items in my photo plus a glass of beer and tip came up to less than $60. -

There are those cheap food spots with huge portions that sometimes really just hits the spot, and this is one of those places. They do an asian take on american dishes, or the HK style foods, similar to A+ HK kitchen, Pacific Cafe HK Kitchen, HK Bistro, and Purple Dot (all located nearby). The positive is that this spot also serves cheap alcohol!
I came in ~10:20pm on a tuesday and they had their late night menu, a smaller but acceptable selection from their normal menu. The service was great, quick, and I managed to finish my meal and pay within ~35 mins. Pretty excellent stuff for late night eats!
I'd love to come back and try the other things on their regular menu like the doria, cod roe udon, and omuirice! If you're in the mood for some cheap and yum eats without expecting superb quality, I'd highly recommend checking this spot out! -

Provender: I ordered the katsu spaghetti. It was good, combining noodles with curry. Next time I think I would order the katsu and spaghetti separately though. They also have noodle dishes.
Prices: dishes are in the $10-12 range.
Parking: just street parking. It's in the International District, so you'll find a Tenderloin type crowd nearby.
People: mostly a young adult crowd, during the night.
Perks: it's located in a mall and open late. The entrance is on 6th Avenue, and it's on the second floor. This is a great place to chill and grab some Japanese style food. There are barstools and tables, so it's ideal for groups and lone wolves.
